PROCESS

In order to capture the acorn and stone details appropriately, it was crucial to begin this piece with texture studies. Once pages of texture practice were completed, the next step involved creating a composition that both incorporated the natural objects as homes and scenery while maintaining the idea that they were small. After the final composition went through many renditions, the final illustration was transfered to an illustration board to be shaded and glazed.
